Blogmas Day 6
Use your pencil very lightly when drawing your guideline. I still struggle doing it right 😂
Hopefully you've chosen your font before drawing your lines so you can get right to experimenting with placement of your letters.
I used a fine liner and traced over everything but I didn't colour in the spaces yet.
Using the same pen I then filled in the spaces and erased the guide lines after.

Blogmas Day 3
Todays word/s in a new font is...Have Yourself A Merry Christmas. I changed the sentence from the song title Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas because I felt like I wouldn't be able to fit it all on in this chosen font.
There were many guidelines to draw in this one, it was hard to not get confused between the spaces to actually draw in and the spaces between each line for the words.
I chose to male the letter size different throughout the page just so that it wouldn't be overpowering and fill the page.
Before this step I had to re do the Christmas word because I hadn't actually has enough room for the a and s but then shrank the left side of each letter, making them skinnier so they could all fit on the same line.

Blogmas Day 2
Todays font word: Friday because today is in fact a Friday. I really liked drawing this font, it was nice to test my control when freehand drawing the straight lines for the letter.
So I forgot to take a photo of the lines I drew before actually beginning the word which is a woopsie on my part. I just chose the spot for my word and using the pencil, lightly drew guide lines before splitting the space up into 6 sections, one for each letter just to make sure they would all fit.
I then outlined each letter with the fine liner pen I used on the previous post and made any corrections before moving onto the next step.
This step is by far the most simple, I filled in each letter with the pen and made sure each line wasn't too wobbly, as straight as I could get them.

Blogmas Day 1
So its begun Blogmas is finally here! I'm doing it all so different this year, instead of a Christmas related blog post each day, I will be posting a blog post each day which shows you the process of me drawing/writing either a specific thing about that day or a Christmas theme in a font.
What is todays? lest start off simple with a Blogmas font drawing.
What is todays? lest start off simple with a Blogmas font drawing.
I begun by simply choosing my position for the word and drew light guidelines in pencil.
I then drew, erased and re drew my font letters a few times until I felt like they were at their best.
I then went over the letters in a black fine liner and used the same pen to fill in each of the letters before adding a small present.
Fun Fact: I originally planned on drawing Christmas lights handing from each letter but there were already so many swirls and curls
To finish off the piece of the day, I coloured the present in a light shade of red as well as two shades of blue.
